Youth Soccer – hits the Ground Running in the New Year!

Happy New Year and welcome to 2025! January is a busy month for youth soccer, with several major events scheduled across the United States. Here are some notable tournaments taking place:

Tournaments

  • 2025 DPL Eastern Regional (January 3-6, Tampa, FL): A showcase for U15-U19 teams from various conferences, featuring competitive games at the Tampa Tournament Sportsplex. You can get information here or here.
  • Orlando Cup 2025 (January 10-12, Kissimmee, FL): An international youth soccer tournament attracting teams from around the globe. It is hosted at the Austin Tindall Sports Complex and offers Gold and Silver competition levels. Get the details here.
  • 2025 Paradise Cup (January 10-12, Naples, FL): Another prominent tournament providing competitive opportunities for youth teams. More info here or here.
  • 2025 JFC Puma King Cup (January 11-12, Jacksonville, FL): An invite-only event featuring high-level teams from MLS NEXT, ECNL, and other elite leagues. More info here or here.
  • USYS National League Quarterfinals (Girls: January 10-13; Boys: January 17-21, Mesa, AZ): Elite 64 teams in the 13U-19U age groups compete for advancement to the National League Semifinals and a chance to qualify for the USYS National Championships. Read the details here.
  • Disney Girls Soccer Showcase (January 17-20, Orlando, FL): A premier event for U15-U19 teams to compete and be scouted by college coaches at Walt Disney World Resort. More info here or here.

These events provide a range of opportunities for youth players to compete at high levels and showcase their skills in front of scouts and recruiters.

ID Camps

January is also a busy month for ID camps.  These camps provide excellent opportunities for players to showcase their skills in front of college coaches and potentially advance their soccer careers. Here are some notable ID camps scheduled for January.

  • Florida Gators Winter ID Camp: Scheduled for January 14, 2025, at the Donald R. Dizney Stadium. This full-day camp focuses on technical work, possession, and 11v11 play, with separate training for goalkeepers. Details here.
  • High Point University Winter ID Camp: Taking place on January 11 and 12, 2025, at the Witcher Athletic Center at Vert Stadium. This camp is open to rising high school freshmen through college students. Details here.
  • Central Florida Girls Soccer Winter ID Camp: Set for January 25, 2025, this camp is open to girls aged 13-21. Details here.
  • Florida Elite College ID Camp: Scheduled for January 19, 2025, at Veterans Park in St. Johns, Florida. This camp is open to boys and girls born between 2006 and 2010. Details here.
  • Rollins Men’s Soccer Winter ID Camp: Taking place on January 5, 2025, at Cahall-Sandspur Field in Winter Park, Florida. This camp is designed for elite players in grades 9-12. Details here.
  • University of Miami Women’s Soccer ID Camp: Scheduled for January 19, 2025. Details here.
  • Florida Gulf Coast Men’s Soccer ID Camp: Set for January 10-12, 2025. Details here.
