Massachusetts’ youth soccer system is led by Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association (Mass Youth Soccer), the statewide nonprofit US Youth Soccer member that governs town, club, and select programs and runs ODP, State Cup, and coach education. Families usually start in town‑based leagues (BAYS, Middlesex YSL, Essex County YSA, Central Mass YSL, Coastal YSL, South Shore and South Coast leagues) and can progress into higher‑level club and select programs (e.g., Town Select League, District Select, and club soccer such as NEFC, Boston Bolts, Steel United), using league and club directories and maps to click into local organizations for details on registration, travel, and player pathway options.
